Facility Maintenance Division:
Maintains all city facilities, fixtures, structural repair, remodeling, building and fire code compliance.
Fleet Maintenance Division:
Maintains all city vehicles and equipment.
The Landfill is located at 2755 N Safford Landfill Road, Safford, AZ 85546. Landfill hours of operation are Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., closed Sundays. For additional information, please call (928) 432-4286.
Parks projects include improvements at our city's parks and focus on existing facilities and amenities as well as adding new amenities throughout the City of Safford. Responsibilities include the Safford Swimming Pool, Skate Park, sports fields, playgrounds, Shared-Use Path and all city landscaping. For park or pool reservations, please call 928-432-4143.
The Project Coordinator is responsible for project schedules, resources, planning, procurement and execution of a project as first point of contact for any issues or discrepancies that arise.
The Sanitation Division runs routes Monday thru Friday. Trash pick up is twice a week (Monday/Thursday and Tuesday/Friday) depending on your address. Commercial routes will vary. Please have your container at the curb with the lids opening toward the street no later than 6:00 a.m. the morning of your pick up, with a five foot clearance away from parked cars, mailboxes, tree branches and other obstacles. Maintenance activities consist of patching, sealing, renewal, repair and overlay of existing roadway surfaces, drainage systems, alleyway, parkway, retention pond maintenance, including weed control, traffic control devices, street sign maintenance, striping, street sweeping, debris removal from roadways, and sidewalk maintenance within city limits.
