Sanitation Information

The City of Safford is the only authorized refuse collector for residential refuse. All residences within the City are required to use and pay for this service. Residences may haul some refuse to the landfill at their expense, however, the trash and garbage fees are mandatory regardless of service. Service may not be cancelled except for unoccupied homes.

Below is the service charge schedule for the rates. All charges are subject to applicable sales taxes.

Trash Pick-up Monthly Charges


  • Residential service 
       $19.86 per standard size container.

  •  Commercial service:
        Prices vary depending on container size and weekly pickup. Commercial Rate Table


Additional Information

 

  •  COLLECTION HOURS 

    Containers and bulk trash shall be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on day of scheduled pick up. Please ensure there is adequate space for the Sanitation trucks to access the containers.
