Safford Police Station

Elevation

Project Overview

The current Police facility is not adequate for the growing needs of Police operations. The current building was not originally constructed as a Police facility and has undergone several renovations in an attempt to meet the ongoing needs of the department and community.

The new Safford Police Station will be located at 523 S 10th Avenue, the site of the Former Graham County Adult Detention Center.

The new building will be approximately 6,000 square feet and will include a training room, squad room, lockers, showers and employee restrooms, patrol report room, interview room, holding/processing area, offices (Chief, Captain, and Chief's Administrative Assistant), patrol sergeant's station, public waiting area, records storage room, kitchen/break room, and suspect restroom.

The site will include secured parking spaces between buildings on the south, and a new access drive to shared shared parking area with Graham County to the north.

The existing 4,000 square foot facility will house evidence storage and investigator's offices.

We anticipate completion in February 2021.
