As communities across the country adjust to the many changes that have resulted from the COVID-19 Pandemic, leaders at all levels have begun to contemplate recovery. Local businesses have been particularly hard-hit due to various restrictions, such as social/physical distancing requirements, that have significantly reduced the ability of local patrons to gather in business establishments.
In order to assist businesses being negatively impacted by the current pandemic, the federal government has created programs designed to provide an infusion of much needed cash. In many cases the “loans” provided by these programs may be forgiven.
We in the Gila Valley are fortunate to have the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), located at Eastern Arizona College, to help those entities seeking to access these funds. Below is a video in which Kevin Peck, SBDC Director, provides a brief overview designed to introduce these programs and get people started in accessing the funds that are available. Kevin and his staff are available to answer questions and help guide those seeking to access these resources.
